Hull City have reportedly made an offer for Brentford’s star striker Andre Gray.

However the Bees are understood to have already rejected an opening bid from the newly demoted Championship side after declaring he wasn’t given permission to speak to the club over a potential move away from Griffin Park.

The 24-year-old, who joined Brentford last summer from League Two side Luton Town, scored 18 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions during his impressive debut season in the second tier.

After Tigers manager Steve Bruce offloaded Robbie Brady and James Chester to Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion respectively for a combined fee of £15m, Hull are on the lookout for a new forward with Dame N’Doye’s future at the KC Stadium still in doubt.
